Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information owaiskhan.website collects about people who visit it, what it does not collect, and who else is involved. It applies to this website only. Effective July 2026.
Who runs this site
This site is run by Owais Khan as an individual, not by a company. For any privacy question, including a request to access or delete data, write to hello@owaiskhan.website.
What this site does not do
- It does not ask you to create an account, and there is nothing to log in to.
- It does not run a newsletter or collect email addresses.
- It does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own.
- It does not sell or rent information about visitors to anyone.
- It does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Analytics
This site runs no analytics software in your browser. There is no tracking script, no analytics cookie, and no beacon; the pages ship no JavaScript at all. Nothing is loaded to watch what you do on the page.
Instead, aggregate traffic statistics are derived at the network edge by the hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) from the ordinary request data every web server already receives — the page requested, the referring URL, and coarse device and country information inferred from the request. These are counted in aggregate to see which articles are read and where readers arrive from. They are not tied to a named individual and do not follow you to other websites.
Separately, for visitors who arrive from Google search, Google shares aggregate search statistics — such as which queries showed this site and how often they were clicked — with the site owner through Google Search Console. That is Google's own measurement of its search results, not something this site collects from you.
Server logs
This site is served as static files by a hosting provider. Like every web host, that provider processes standard request data, including IP addresses, in order to deliver pages and to defend against abuse. This is handled under the hosting provider's own privacy terms and is outside the site owner's control beyond the choice of provider.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links to software vendors are affiliate links. Following one hands you off to the vendor, and the vendor or its affiliate network typically records that the referral came from this site, usually with a cookie set on the vendor's own domain. What they collect from that point on is governed by their privacy policies, not this one. See theaffiliate disclosure for what those links are and how they affect what is written here.
Advertising
This site does not currently serve third-party display advertising. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any ad code is added. Third-party advertising vendors, including Google, commonly use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in itsadvertising policies, and personalised advertising can be turned off atGoogle Ads Settings.
Your rights
If you are in the UK, the EU, or a US state with a comprehensive privacy law such as California, you have rights over personal data held about you, including the right to ask what is held, to have it corrected or deleted, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because this site does not operate accounts and its analytics are not tied to an identity, there is usually nothing held that can be matched to you. Requests can still be sent to hello@owaiskhan.website and will be answered.
Changes
This policy will be updated if the site's practices change, and the effective date at the top will change with it. Material changes will not be applied retroactively.
